1. Instructions for the Host
If you are the one hosting the game session:
- Port Forwarding: Ensure port 27960 (or your chosen port) is opened/forwarded in your router settings for the UDP protocol.
- Fill in the Details:
- Game preset: Select "Generic TCP/IP" or the specific game title.
- Port: Enter 27960.
- Public IP / DDNS: Enter your public IP address (find it at whatismyip.com) or your DDNS hostname (e.g., myhome.ddns.net).
- Create the Room: Click on Create TCP Room.
- Share Access: The system will generate a Room code and a PIN. Send these to the other players.
2. Instructions for the Joiner
If you are connecting to a friend's hosted session:
- Enter Credentials: Locate the "Join TCP Room" section. Enter the Room code and PIN provided by the host.
- Join the Lobby: Click the Join TCP Room button.
- Final Connection: The web lobby will display a "connect address" (IP and Port). Copy this address and paste it into the game's multiplayer menu under Join TCP/IP Game.
Quick Troubleshooting
- Firewall: Make sure Windows Defender Firewall is not blocking the game executable or the specific port.
