How to play online — DOSBox Screen Mirror

NBA Jam Tournament Edition uses DOSBox Screen Mirror Netplay in the IPX Web Lobby. This is a shared-screen session, not a native IPX multiplayer connection. The host runs the DOS game in DOSBox and shares its video with joining players; player input is sent to the host.

The lobby specifies UDP for input and TCP for video. Open the required ports in your firewall/router. Coordinate the game session and control hand-offs with the other players in the room.

How to Enter Cheats in NBA Jam Tournament Edition (PC)

In the PC/DOS version of NBA Jam T.E., codes are entered at two different screens depending on the effect you want: Either at the Name Entry screen (when starting a profile) or at the "Tonight's Matchup" screen (right before the tip-off).

A. Gameplay Modifiers (Enter at the "Tonight's Matchup" screen)

Press the following keyboard button sequences quickly right before the match starts:

• Big Heads Mode: Press and hold Up + Turbo + Pass simultaneously until the game begins.
• Baby Mode (Small Players): Press Turbo, Shoot, Steal, Turbo, Shoot, Steal, Turbo, Shoot, Steal.
• Quick Hands (Easier Steals): Press Down and the Shoot button 5 times consecutively.
• Maximum Power: Press and hold Down + Turbo + Shoot + Pass + Start altogether.
• Full-Court Dunks: Press Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right.
• Hard Push: Press Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Up.
• Perfect 3-Pointers: Press Shoot, Shoot, Shoot, Turbo, Turbo, Turbo.

B. How to Unlock the Expanded Roster & Secret Characters

To add 13 extra NBA hidden stars (like Horace Grant and Charles Oakley) or play as secret celebrity characters (like Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or the Beastie Boys), you must use the Name Entry screen:

1. Choose a fresh slot to enter your profile.
2. Enter the specific Initials and Birthday (Month/Day) combinations.

• To Unlock the Expanded Roster:
• At the game's title screen, press Start, Shoot, Up, Down, Pass, Left, Turbo, Right, Down, Start. Then, enter JAM as your initials.
• Secret Character Unlocks (Initials + Birthday):
