How to Enter Cheats in Last Rites (PC / MS-DOS)

The game Last Rites does not feature traditional in-game text codes or a developer console that you can open while playing. Instead, the built-in cheat engine relies entirely on command-line parameters (switches) that you add when launching the game's executable file (lr.exe).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. If you are using DOSBox, launch your prompt and type the parameters directly after the game file.
2. If you are on Windows/Steam, right-click the game shortcut, go to Properties, and add the parameters to the end of the Target field (separated by a space).

• Example: "C:\Games\Last Rites\lr.exe" /skip

• /skip – Skip Intro Mode (Bypasses all introductory screens, menu logo animations, and cutscenes to launch you directly into the level).
• /nomusic – Silence Mode (Turns off all background and ambient game music entirely).
• /vga – Graphics Force (Forces the engine into a standard default legacy VGA display setting).
• /lev levels\missXX – Level Warp / Select (Allows you to start a fresh game directly from any level in the campaign. Replace XX with the specific target file number below).
